Kompostointityöpajat

Kompostointityöpajassa keskitymme kerralla yhteen kompostointitapaan. Käymme läpi kompostoinnin teorian perusteet. Muuten opimme tekemällä: kompostin perustaminen, seuranta, keruu ja käyttö käydään kaikki läpi.

  • Nopea lämpökompostointi Soil Food Web -menetelmällä. Kompostointityöpajassa sovellamme maaperän ravintoverkkoteoriaa käytännössä ja katsomme, millä keinoin voimme ohjata maaperän ravintoverkkoa haluamaamme suuntaan puutarhassamme. Työpajassa käydään läpi kompostoinnin teoria, perustetaan komposti (muun muassa puutarhajätteistä ja hakkeesta), tutkitaan valmista kompostia mikroskoopilla ja katsotaan miten valmista kompostimultaa voi käyttää.

    • Aika: 5.6.2022 klo 10-13

    • Työpajaan mahtuu enintään 10 osallistujaa. Työpaja toteutuu mikäli osallistujia on vähintään 5.

Tervetuloa myös edellisenä päivänä 4.kesäkuuta 2022 järjestettävälle Maaperän ravintoverkkokurssille, joka antaa vahvan perustan kompostoimiselle. Voit ilmoittautua molempiin yllä olevan lomakkeen kautta. Huom! Kurssi ja työpaja yhteishintaan 120€.

  • Puutarhakompostointi: mitä, milloin, miksi - lyhyt työpaja, jossa käymme perusteet läpi ja täytämme kompostia, arvioimme sen laatua

Composting Workshops

Our composting workshops deal with one composting method per workshop. We will go through the basics of composting theory. Otherwise we will learn by doing: starting the compost, maintenance, harvesting and ways to use will all be addressed in the workshop

  • Hot Composting using the Soil Food Web approach. (This workshop will be held in Finnish. If you'd like a course to be held in English, let us know!) In this workshop we put the soil food web approach to practice and see how we can use compost to steer the food web in our garden in the direction we want. We will go through the theory of hot composting, start a compost pile, see how to monitor it, look at ready compost through a microscope and look at ways to use finished compost in the garden.

    • Time: Sunday June 5th 2022, 10-13

    • Location: Lehmusto farm, Lehmustontie 44, 01450 Vantaa

    • Price: 45€, 3h

    • This workshop fits a maximum 10 participants. It will go ahead if we have at least 5 participants.
